Jackie worked on a poem my husband wrote for our son to say at our wedding 7 years ago and I was getting it made into a poster for our wedding anniversary.

Jackie takes time to get the personal story and message about the piece before she starts the process. She gets very involved as if it was her own personal piece. I asked Jagdeep to do a piece for me to commemorate the opening of my boyfriend’s bookshop. It was a lovely quote about reading that I had come across months ago and Jagdeep thought it was a fitting piece for the occasion. She was always approachable and willing to give or receive feedback. I commissioned Jackie to create a piece of artwork for very close friends of ours that were getting married.  As my husband was best man and being sooo close to the couple I really wanted to get something special, thoughtful and unique for them. The couple had a saying at the back of their mass booklet and that is when the idea came to me. I looked online and found Soulscribe, rang up and the story began. 

I had a definite image/vision in my head and was nervous that the artist (Jackie) may not be happy to deal with the vision I had in mind. However, to my delight, Jackie was happy to talk thru everyone of my ideas and we found ourselves on the exact same page of thought. From beginning to end, Jackie was approachable, contactable and extremely pleasant to deal with and the end piece was more then I could have ever asked for.  Many people have already seen the magnificent piece that Jackie created and have admired the beauty within it.

We were very lucky to be gifted with having our wedding invitations inscribed by Jagdeep, we have just received them back and are blown away with how beautiful they look. Our choir – The Forget-Me-Nots dementia-inclusive community choir – was thrilled to commission Jagdeep to create a music themed calligraphy painting for our Musical Director, Norah Walsh. This was to celebrate her composition of a song “This Shock Flowers” which commemorated our 5th anniversary in 2019.
