Family Trees
Your family story, inscribed
Family Trees are commissioned from genealogies you’ve already researched — the names, dates and relationships that took time and care to uncover. I transcribe them into a handwritten piece, designed as a family tree — either in a traditional layout or a more artistic style — that’s beautiful enough to become a family heirloom.
It’s not a database. It’s a keepsake.

How it works
Each family tree begins with a genealogy document — a chart, a list, a printed report, or even handwritten notes. I work from whatever you have, and shape it into a visual family tree that’s both accurate and beautiful.
What you can expect:
- Traditional or artistic layout — I can follow a conventional tree structure, or design something more expressive. We’ll discuss what suits your family best
- As many generations as your records allow — the depth depends on the records you have and the format you choose
- Handwritten by me — every name, every date, inscribed in your choice of ink and finish
- Delivered unframed — large-format, ready for you to frame in a way that suits your space
Materials and finishes:
Every commission begins with a conversation about what you have in mind. I’ll recommend the paper, ink, and finish that best suit the piece — whether that’s a traditional cotton rag, a different paper stock, or a finish that requires something more experimental. The materials always serve the content, and we’ll decide together what feels right for your family’s story.

A keepsake meant to be passed down
By the time you come to me, you’ve already done the hard work — tracing names through records, piecing together a story that spans generations. What you’re looking for isn’t research. It’s beauty. Something your descendants will recognise as theirs.
A family tree isn’t meant to stay in one place — it’s meant to travel through the family, the way their story does.
