Knowing and Thinking with Special Guest: Paul Ras

In this thought-expanding episode of Scribing Journeys, I invited to the mic a multi-layered thinker and number specialist Paul Ras for a conversation that dissolves boundaries between intuition, mathematics, spirituality, and sound. Titled “Knowing and Thinking,” this dialogue is anything but ordinary.

Broadcast live on Holistic RadioThursday at 1pm

Numbers Are More Than Math

From the very beginning, Paul invites us to rethink everything we thought we knew about numbers. He doesn’t work with numerology in the conventional sense. Instead, numbers are his language for understanding the universe, a cosmic alphabet where each digit holds intrinsic meaning, vibration, and intention.

Paul’s journey with numbers began as a child when he constantly saw digits and colours floating around him. This vivid intuition evolved into a spiritual and intellectual exploration. It’s everything and in everything, he says. A code that holds the key to inner and outer truths.

The Knowing and Thinking Exercise

Listeners were invited into a live exercise using a simple piece of paper and three coloured pens: black for structure, green for knowing, and blue for thinking.

Here’s what we did:

  1. Divide the page in two with a vertical black line.
  2. Label the left side “Knowing” and the right side “Thinking.”
  3. Write numbers 1–12 down the left margin.
  4. For each number, write what you know it represents (in green) and what you think it represents (in blue).

What followed was an introspective, playful, and at times, mind-bending interaction where numbers became mirrors of consciousness. We weren’t just thinking about numbers, it was uncovering.

Numbers as Energetic Codes

Each number is a symbol, but also a directional tool. Paul offered clues, sometimes poetic, sometimes cryptic to help us feel our way into what each number “knows” and “thinks.”

Through these numbers, we explored dualities, balance, trinity, alignment, and self-deception. Paul reminded us that the act of thinking without knowing often fragments us. To know is to begin building a true foundation.

Language, Spells, and Vibration

Midway through the episode, the conversation spiralled into the power of language. Paul revealed that all letters in all alphabets carry number values. Every word, sentence, and story we speak casts a spell. Without knowing the numeric frequency of our language, we may be unconsciously misaligning ourselves.

Numbers, he explains, can act as tuning forks, anchoring us back into our truth.

“If you don’t know the formula of the spell you’re casting, then you don’t know what it’s really doing.”

We Are All One. But Are We In Alignment?

The show beautifully loops back to the concept of oneness. “We are all one,” says Paul, “but you cannot be in your oneness if you’ve manipulated yourself.” Numbers show us where we are split and where we can return to wholeness.

In the end, we reflected on the journey we had just taken. It was a journey of inquiry, of laughter and of deep resonance.

Paul left us with a soft challenge: to revisit our Knowing and our Thinking, and to prepare for the next episode where we begin “attaching things to numbers.” He also wants to share a song with you and asks that you share with him your Knowing and Thinking exercise to get in readiness for part 2 of Knowing and Thinking.

If you’re feeling intrigued (or totally mind-boggled), that’s a good thing.

Re-listen to Episode 20, grab your pens, and prepare to meet your numbers. Not just as digits, but as guides to your own truth.
