Ep18 | Awakening Energies with the Star Tetrahedron

Unveiling Earth’s Hidden Geometries

Holistic Radio Logo

In Episode 18, Douglas (“Water Wizard”) Gordon and I ventured from a windblown cairn in the Dublin Mountains to celebrating the mid spring magic of Beltane, and diving deep into the sacred geometry of the Star Tetrahedron.

In these show notes, we’ll revisit those highlights, unpack the metaphysical insights, and show how these ancient symbols can enrich our modern lives.

1. From Stones to Sky: The Tribadden Mountain Expedition

Our journey began on a blustery morning at the summit cairn of Tribadden Mountain. Douglas led six diviners along a forest trail, past an ancient stone circle where magnetic lines converge, and up to a modest cairn hollowed out against the wind.

He explained how two underground water lines cross here, activating the site as a living vortex. Even on a hazy day, the view across Dublin Bay. Reminded me: Earth’s energies are ancient, and very much alive.

2. A Beltane Salute: Honouring Spring’s Fire Festival

Before our geometry deep dive, we paused to tip our hats to Beltane, the ancient Celtic festival that celebrates fertility, renewal, and the coming of summer. I told Maeve’s story of dawn bonfires, garlands, and playful maypole dances. Beltane’s rituals remind us that sometimes a little fire, and a touch of play, can renew our spirits as surely as it did theirs.

3. The Star Tetrahedron: Geometry in Motion

After which, we unpacked the magic of the Star Tetrahedron (also called the Merkabha). Imagine two tetrahedrons, pyramids of four triangles, interlocking and spinning in opposite directions. In three dimensions, it’s a shape of perfect balance; in two dimensions, its shadow becomes the familiar hexagram. This form appears in the Flower of Life pattern and Metatron’s Cube, whispering to us of masculine and feminine energies dancing together. Through visualization or gentle meditation, we can use the Star Tetrahedron to align our own energies, cultivating harmony between body, mind, and spirit.

4. Metatron’s Cube & the Mysteries of Matter

Our conversation then turned to Metatron’s Cube, a geometric web named for the archangel who, in Jewish mystical lore, serves as celestial scribe and divine mediator. At its heart lies every Platonic solid – the tetrahedron, cube, octahedron, dodecahedron, and icosahedron – the building blocks of physical reality. Likened to a cosmic blueprint, where each solid corresponds to an element or force, and the entire structure channels creative “fire” energy down the Kabbalistic Tree of Life.

Exploring Metatron’s Cube can remind us that geometry underpins not only stone and star, but the very essence of creation.

5. Harmony in Six Sides: The Esoteric Hexagon

Next, we explored how the hexagon (two overlapping triangles) speaks of harmony and duality. From honeycomb cells to snowflake patterns, nature favours this shape for its strength and efficiency. In alchemy, the upward-pointing triangle symbolizes fire, the downward one water; together they form an elemental marriage, an alchemical “sweet spot” where opposites merge. On a personal level, we can view our thoughts as seeds sown in the mind’s garden, tending them carefully ensures they blossom into positive programming below the surface.

Reminded me of a past piece I was asked to create.

6. A Symbol Across Time & Place
Our six-pointed star also has a truly global resume. In ancient Mesopotamia it adorned cylinder seals; by the Maya it was a sun emblem carved into the citadel walls; in India it appeared on Ujjain’s coins and Mughal royal seals; and in medieval Europe it first found a home on Prague’s Jewish militia flag, to later becoming the Star of David. Whether as a royal crest, a talisman, or a spiritual icon, this geometry has bridged cultures across millennia, reminding us that some truths are universal.

7. Community Q&A & Shared Insights
We closed Episode 18 with a lively Q&A: listeners asked about connecting sacred geometry to musical octaves, the Schumann resonance, and zero-point energy. Douglas emphasized that these disciplines – geometry, sound, and earth energies are interwoven. He encouraged everyone to bring their own research to the next kitchen-table round table, because real wisdom emerges when we share stories and discoveries.

8. Looking Ahead: Join Us for Episode 19
As we wrapped up, Douglas reminded us how crucial it is to honour and balance Earth’s natural energies. Our next episode airs May 15 at 1PM on Holistic Radio, where we’ll explore the Schumann resonance. We hope you’ll tune in, share your questions, and continue exploring the wonders that unfold when we blend science, spirit, and story.
