Ep19 | Our Journey So Far.
Wrap up and Reflection
If you’ve been walking alongside us through the episodes of Scribing Journeys, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. And if you’re discovering us for the first time, this is a perfect moment to jump in. Episode 19 marks not an end but a pause on our learning journey, a time to reflect and a wrap-up of everything we’ve explored so far.
Broadcast live on Holistic Radio, myself and my wise and witty co-host Douglas revisited our most meaningful moments and shared new insights.
As always we started by expressing our heartfelt thanks to Andy (ZenPagan), the generous host of Holistic Radio whose platform gives everyday voices a place to share extraordinary perspectives. And, to our fabulous audience, your voices have enriched every episode, and none of this would be possible without such a supportive community.
What We’ve Discovered So Far
Douglas summed it up beautifully.

I flipped open the lever-arch file of research notes (yes, it exists!) and we began revisiting some key themes from the past 18 episodes.
Here are five core themes that stood out:
Universal Energy & Natural Order
From the cosmic scale to the micro level, energy and frequency shape everything. We explored how ancient people attuned themselves to these patterns, a skill that many are rediscovering today.
Sacred Sites and Their Power
From Ireland to India, South America to Africa, sacred sites share striking similarities. Often found at the meeting points of geological fault lines, underground water streams, or magnetic lines these sites were used for ceremonies, gatherings, and cosmic alignment. As well as hold deep spiritual and energetic resonance.
Divining Tools & Lost Skills
Dowsing rods and pendulums aren’t just folklore. They are ancient tools used to detect energy lines, water, and other forces. Douglas is a skilled dowser, uses divining rods to uncover unseen energies and shared stories of his work helping people rebalance their homes using these techniques. We discussed how tools like rods and pendulums can help us interpret these forces. Just as our ancestors once did.

Ancient Calendars & Symbols
We talked about traditional timekeeping systems. And, how these ancient calendars helped our ancestors survive and thrive. The eightfold calendar, solstices, and equinoxes all played a part in ancient survival and spiritual life.
And, their symbols weren’t just pretty designs. They held deep meaning and still do. From the swastika to the star tetrahedron, symbolism was and is a universal language. They appear across continents and cultures. Is it coincidence, or does it speak to a shared human origin story? This mystery, threaded with myth and folklore, invites us to explore further.
Modern Magic Meets Ancient Wisdom
One of the most striking ideas was how ancient “magic” might simply be knowledge we’ve forgotten. Whether it’s divining energy lines or working with crystals, these practices ground us in the reality that our ancestors knew well.
The conversation drifted seamlessly between ancient geomancy and modern issues like smart meter radiation and geopathic stress. Sharing real-world examples of how Douglas and I have neutralised disruptive energy lines in homes using copper rings and simple divination techniques.
In a world increasingly saturated with artificial signals, the message was clear: the earth still speaks and we can still listen, if we choose to.
Taking a Break to Deepen the Journey
After 18 fascinating episodes, we’re taking a short break. This pause will give us time to conduct more fieldwork, deepen our research and rest. But the journey isn’t ending. As Douglas put it, “We’ve given an overview. Now, we might go deeper or in a completely new direction.”
The journey is far from over. In fact, the next season may uncover even deeper insights, older truths, and bolder questions.
We’ll be returning in August around Lughnasadh, an ancient festival marking the first harvest. It feels like the perfect time to start a new season of learning and discovery.
In the meantime, I’ll be hosting a few one-off episodes with guest speakers, so do stay connected.
Until then. Share your discoveries with us. Connect. Ask questions. And most of all, stay curious.
